The Penguin Band is Club Penguin's official band. It is made up of four penguins. There once was a scavenger hunt when penguins had to find the Band's instruments. Once players found the instruments, their penguin was rewarded with a player card background featuring the band. Another background was given out during the Music Jam party when the band went on break. Like Rockhopper, the band members can be seen sometimes during certain parties, on random servers signing autographed backgrounds and talking to penguins.
Interestingly, a group of musical penguins resembling the Club Penguin Band existed in Penguin Chat 3. There were a few differences, listed below:
All of PC3's band members were Old Blue, as it was the only color available at that time.
There were only three members of this band, because Franky hadn't joined yet.
The piano that one of the penguins used was brown, not black.
A flute was never used in the Penguin Chat 3 band.
There is not an acoustic guitar player in the group.
The band played around the clock at the Dance Club. There were not any speakers or disk jockey stations in the room.
In the only known picture of a Penguin Chat 3 Igloo, the PC3 Band is inexplicably depicted as playing in the igloo. They are playing a song called "I've Been Delayed" by a band called TAS1000.
The band is made up of four members (and one unknown one), they are:
G Billy (Dark Blue, sometimes Old Blue): plays the drum and the flute.
Petey K (Green): plays the accordion and the piano.
Stompin' Bob (Red): plays the bass.
Franky (Yellow): plays the acoustic guitar.
Unknown Band Member (Light Blue): plays the acoustic guitar.
Franky is the latest member to join the Club Penguin Band. He plays the acoustic guitar and the banjo. He is the author of "Franky's First Show", which you can read in the Book Room's Library. Also, he is not an original member of the Club Penguin Band. He was invited to play for the band as revealed in the book 'Franky's First Show'. Franky is also the most well known member out of the whole band. This could be because he is the newest member to join the band.
G Billy is one of the founding members of the Club Penguin Band. He usually plays the drums, and occasionally the flute.
He has over 50 pins.
If he wasn't a musician, he'd still be working as a chef in the Pizza Parlor.
He is most often seen during Parties.
He is a Level 5 Member.
He is one of the only penguins to wear the Old Blue color, although he doesn't wear it all the time.
He is the only penguin to use an instrument that was sold in the Music Jam catalog in the Back Stage (although the drumsticks aren't an instrument themselves, they were still for sale in the music catalog).
He is most likely to be the drummer in the Penguin Chat 3 Band.
He can be dark blue or Old Blue.
His flute is not the same as the flute in real life, his flute looks like a trumpet or recorder.
G Billy is probably the easiest famous penguin to imitate seeing as you only need the drumsticks, Dark Blue and the Black Cowboy Hat
Petey K is a member of the Club Penguin Band. He plays the piano and accordion. He's classically trained.
For a long time, Petey K and the rest of the Club Penguin Band were not able to be seen wandering on Club Penguin as a real character, until Music Jam 08 where he signed backgrounds at the Backstage.

He loves playing Hydro Hopper.
If he wasn't a musician, he'd be writing poems for Club Penguin Times (he used to write poems at the newspaper).
He's a Level 5 Member.
He is the only member of the Penguin Band to have an instrument that is NOT available to real penguins at the time (Even though Petey K plays piano that was not avaliable, he still plays accordion which was available during the 2009 St. Patrick's Day party. However, the accordion is still not the same).
He is the only member of the band to only play one instrument. (Franky plays guitar and banjo, Petey K plays piano and accordian, and G Billy plays the flute and the drums.)
He might be controlled by Billybob because at the Penguin Play Awards, he always decided when to leave,and his name "stompin' bob" is a bit similar to billybob.
The above also may be true because of his name having Bob at the end, and so does Billybob.
During the Music Jam 2008, Stompin' Bob wore a V.I.P. Pass with his clothing. This was a mistake, and was soon fixed.
He came second on a poll determining your favorite band member with 24% votes losing to Franky with 47% and just beating G Billy with 20%.
